I finally made it to another steakhouse. This opportunity was a gift from a family friend for our recent engagement. Fun...
Our friend ordered wine and an appetizer and we chose our protein of choice. Limor ordered the petite filet and I had the bone-in rib eye.
Our appetizer was a shrimp cocktail which was incredible. These shrimp were so large that it was more like biting on lobster tail. I highly recommend this as an appetizer as it's not everyday you stumble across these huge creatures.
Our side dishes were sauteed spinach and sauteed mushrooms. Both were nothing special - just run-of-the-house side dishes as expected of any steakhouse these days.
Some Notes:
The staff is super professional and very willing to do anything they can to make the customer happy. One of our friends asked for a chopped up jalapeno with some salt and lemon juice and this request seemed pretty odd but our hispanic backwaiter cheerily accepted the challenge and within a few moments a large bowl appeared in front of the hungry, spicy-food loving Moroccan friend of ours!
The pretzels are amazing. Ask for mustard but save some room for your food.
Find street parking as the valet takes forever.
Dessert was a truly amazing Pecan Pie which was perfectly well done - with tons and tons of butter and a good amount of sugar and pecan!
The chocolate cake was okay but couldn't come close to the pecan pie. GET IT!
Overall, I would come back. It's expensive and not an everyday place for me, but I would come back, especially for the shrimp.
