The chips at this place were pretty damn good. They were thin and fried fresh for our visit with a good amount of salt. N, one of the fellow diners at this lunch, loved drenching the chips in lime juice which made them soggy, yet amazing.
We ordered taquitos and jalapeño Poppers as starters. The taquitos I don't recommend at all but the poppers were tasty. Very deep fried and greasy, but homemade and not the typical frozen popper you normally see.
For main courses, I was the only one to try an "unsafe" menu option. Three of us ordered the same thing. The safest menu option was the chicken fajitas. I opted for the Chili Verde which is the menu item in the photo above (for extended info see pic).
Overall, the food was ok. If we're in Bakersfield, we'd definitely try another place before coming back, but only because there are so many places to try.
