Sevan Chicken Rotisserie
This is definitely not an advertisement for this establishment, but merely a public announcement. If you ingest the garlic sauce...beware of the side effects which may include horrible breath and unpleasant "burps".
I did try this place on one of the first weeks of its existence at the new location off of Lassen and Mason in Chatsworth, CA. This location was previously a KFC so the fitting for a chicken restaurant was perfect but I gave to ask myself why KFC left the area - maybe the demographic was off?
From what I gathered, Sevan Chicken Rotisserie is an Armenian run business. This is not their first location. It seems to be led in a 'family business' sort of way. This is based solely on my observations on one visit only.
The chicken itself was good. There's a nice rotisserie that the chickens spin on and the flavor was good. I don't like that they charge for side condiments as my breast meat was dry.
Because this spot was so new, people were frustrated with the wait and I saw people waiting upwards of 25 minutes for kebab plates with the excuse given that "the kebabs take that long to cook" and to "call your order ahead next time."
I won't go back any time soon but in a few months I'm sure I'll be tired of SanSei or the other local eateries. Does anyone have any local recommendations?
