Recently added family meals include:
Aussie Mark's famous curry. Always made on Curry Day Friday, last week was BEEF with potatoes and snow peas. I can recall the mixture of herbs and spices as being Chili Powder, Paprika, Cumin, Tumeric, Oregano, Cayenne and Fennel Seed. Very tasty!
Another day I made my special BBQ sauce. This sauce, something I hope to bottle and sell in the future, boasts a whopping 26 (or so) ingredients and is a sweet/tangy version of BBQ sauce.
Most recently I made a stew which included beef, rice, potatoes and carrots, all cooked with good chicken stock. One thing I do with this is add the rice at the last minute, so by the time family meal should be up, the rice is just cooked, so it doesnt thicken the stew too much with the rice's starch.
Also, with the stew I made some Foccaccia. I haven't made this bread since I lived in Nusco, Italy, and converting my recipe to the US Scale (ounces) was tricky. I preffer metric ONLY!! The bread was flavored with sweet onion and rosemary. Our EVOO is Turkish so I tried not to use much as it is very strong.
